Inspired by George Nelson’s 1946 platform bench. A landmark of modern design. Providing a multipurpose resting place for people and their things. We are lucky to have two benches in the shop. One eight feet long inside that serves as the backbone for our in store library. The second one is four feet long and sits outside the front of the shop and provides a relaxing place to enjoy the streetscape on the edge of downtown Victoria. The benches are constructed in Beech and Alder, The black legs and slat spacers are given a flat finish with the addition of graphite power. And were all made on Vancouver Island, by Cam Russell of Coventry Woodworks.
